Duties and Rights

Duties and rights of the council according to article 36 of "Local system law" are regulated as the following rules:
  1. Resolve the regulation of the city.
  2. Resolve the budget of the city.
  3. Resolve the special levies, temporary levies and additional levies of the city.
  4. Resolve the settlement of the properties of the city.
  5. Resolve the autonomy regulations of the citygovernment and the autonomy regulation of the relevant business organization.
  6. Resolve the proposals of the city government.
  7. Examine and approve the examination and audit reports done by the final account of the city.
  8. Resolve the proposals of the city councilors.
  9. Receive the petitions of the people.
  10. Other given duties and rights according to law or superior statues.
Duties and rights according to law of local legislature and other regulations are:
  1. Resolving cases of renewed discussion from city government.
  2. election and recall of Speaker and deputy speaker, hearing the report and inquiry of city administration; and accept the inquiries from councilors.
  3. subscribing self-regulating rules of the council.
